I have walked down these stairs together with the other members of the support group for autistic transgender youth I went to while I was still on the waiting list at VUmc (hospital in Amsterdam). I'm glad I had a place to go to meet other autistic trans people while I had to wait for so long. It always made me feel better, and after a while the sterile linoleum spaces in the building felt more like a home to me.
