Creative interventions & workshops

During my research and design internship in innovation at the municipality of Rotterdam, I was tasked to come up with creative interventions and workshops meant for civil servants to break out of their habits and explore ways of working they may be unfamiliar with. These exercises were part of the project "things we don't see", which centers around the knowledges and experiences within the city that the municipality doesn't typically 'see' or take into account, but which can be useful in innovating the way the municipality operates. Backed up by feminist and queer methodology that I introduced to the project as an intern, we used creative interventions to try and see if we can get civil servants to come to new insights and conclusions regarding their own work and way of working.
